The Stockman Sports foundation connects Australian sporting personalities from a variety of sports with remote, rural and regional Australian community teams, schools and clubs. The purpose is to engage, inform and upskill youth and is conducted with the support of local councils, schools, clubs and community groups.
Our Footprint: Remote, Rural & Regional Defined
Stockman Sports refers to all cities outside of Australia’s Major cities as; ‘remote, rural and regional’. This includes areas that are classified as inner and outer regional and remote or very remote under the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).
Stockman Sports’ flagship expression, Stockman Rugby, was founded in the remote town of Longreach, situated in outback Queensland. Stockman Rugby was initially formed to provide young people from remote and rural and regional area’s the opportunity for personal and athletic development in a character building environment.
